Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti in collaboration with the Indonesian Advocate Association initiated a national seminar and scientific discussion with the theme “Revealing the Controversy in the Premeditated Coffee Cyanide Murder Case,” which was held at Auditorium E Suherman, Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti at November 9, 2023.

This activity began with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum, and followed by the Head of Indonesian Advocate Association, Dr. H. Adardam Achsyar, S.H., M.H. In his speech, it was stated that this activity apart from responding to the need for legal insight to the public also held in terms of Dies Natalis Universitas Trisakti on November 29 and IKADIN Anniversary on November 10.

After that, the activity continued with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti and with Indonesian Advocate Association. In the discussion session, the activity was guided by Fristian Griec, News Gathering Manager of BTV.

The speaker in this season is Prof. Simon Butt from the University of Sydney Law School, Australia, Dr. Evi Untoro SpFH, MARS, MM, the Head of Forensic and Medicolegal Section, Medical Faculty Universitas Trisakti, dr. Nurul Aida Fathya, Sp. FM, M.Sc, as a Forensic Expert from the Indonesian Association of Forensic and Medicolegal Doctors, Abimanyu Wachjoewidajat, ACCS, as a telematics expert, and Dr. Maria Silvya Elisabeth Wangga, S.H., M.H and Dr. Albert Aries, S.H., M.H.

The national seminar and scientific discussion were enthusiastically attended by the participants who majority are from the academic community of Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, both offline and online. Hopefully, this activity will be useful and increase law insight from the public, especially in the scope of criminal law.
