On Wednesday, October 25 2023 a gathering was held between the Rector and all Vice-Rector with the Faculty of Law academic community. This activity is an event that is held regularly every week which aims to strengthen relationships, gather aspirations, and hear all the complaints from the academic community directly.

Also attended this event were the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Head of Department, Heads of Sections representing lecturers in 8 sections, Heads of the Law Laboratory, Heads of Study Centers, Heads of Administration, and Heads of Subdivisions from educational staff. Some of the problems that have been talked about are requests for explanations about the progress of opening the Master of Notarial Law, complaints from the Master of Law Department about new student registration that have a lot of problems, the target number of new foreign student that so hard to achieve in both Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Study Programs.

One of the suggestions that came in this gathering event was the need to establish a Disability Services Unit at the university level as mandated by Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities, especially in Article 42 paragraphs (6) and (7). Also another suggestion about the improvement of collecting data on alumni with international achievements and lecturers’ scientific work.

With this gathering event, hopefully, there will a constructive communication between the Board of the University with the academic community in each faculty.
